#TELL DAVE EVERYTHING. It is being reported that the British Gvoernment is proposing new legislation that will allow the goverment intelligence agencies to directly intercept social networks in real time by forcing service providers to install softward that allows such encroachment without the need for a warrant. This sounds like a dangerous erosion of democracy if true and twitterers are already suggesting that we might as well post all our emails and tweets to the prime minister to save him the time of intercepting material. However proponants argue that such technology is need. To stave off terrorism and serious and organised crime. What do you think?
We are somewhat surprised this is not the top tweet currently because the implications of other jurisdictions considering this course is no doubt of concern to logs of twitterers. Frankly if anyone wants to read my tweets they are welcome it would be a massive waste of their time.
