Timing and Twitter
If,as a writer, you use Twitter, it is time to consider whether the timing of your posts is working for you.
Many of us are selling via Amazon, don't forget that you can tweet your book from the facility offered direct from your book placement on the Amazon website. Tweeting in this way enables a direct link to be attached to the tweet effortlessly. Simply search your book, press go, click your book again to go to the main information page, scroll down, on your right hand side is a 'share' facility. share to Twitter, Facebook or Pininterest, simple as that. Don't forget to attach some advertsing blurb,
However, do not forget that each country has it's own Amazon. So, Google world clocks and post your tweet, Facebook, etc from each Amazon at a time that is the equivalent to about 7 - 9 pm that countries time. You can also tweet from the Amazon of that country, the tweet will already be translated into the relevant countries language. Add a hashtag to your tweet mentioning the country of interest.
Don't forget there are many Amazon's that your book will be placed on such as Amazon Canada, India, Japan, in addition to the UK and America (.com). These are developing markets for e books.
For general tweets that need to be sent, get Hootesuite and then you can set your tweets to send automatically at the time of choice. So for example let say America is 7 hours difference, you can set your tweet to American time etc. It will send automatically without you needing to be up and around to do it.
Setting the time of tweets is important to ensure visibility.
good luck Belle Marsh and Declan Munro
